Here's how I think
If I were ever pregnant I'd keep it (Pro-life for me)
However for other people, its their choice (Pro-choice for them)
woot

Calling pregnancy a punishment (for sex) is like calling fat a punishment (for eating). It's a consequence of being irresponsible about something with an outcome you don't like, you immature idiot.

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING CHALLENGING MY OPINION ON THIS SUBECT, OR ENTERING INTO A DEBATE WITH ME ABOUT IT PLEASE READ THIS FIRST</B>

I have absolutely -0- interest in debating this subject on this site any further. This comment alone is going to be a year old in a couple months, and in that time, no one has made me become a pro-abortionist.
I would be willing to bet millions of dollars that you do not have the magic opinion that will make it happen.

This is an open forum, so you are of course within your rights to respond. No one is debating that. But, before you do, please take a moment to consider the outcomes of your choices:

#1- You don't respond:  Nothing happens. We both go on with our lives, and we both get to miss an instance (or, potentially several instances) of aggravation. Also, you now have time to have a cookie. Cookies are awesome, go have one. You deserve it for being you!

#2- You respond angrily: I roll my eyes and make an attempt to get you to drop the subject. (Warning: The angrier you are, the less likely my response is to be polite.)
 2a- You do. See #1
2b- You don't. I roll my eyes, rebut any egregious claims in the hope that being proven wrong will get you to drop the subject before wishing you a good day.
2c- You drop it (See #1) or you don't (repeat #2b until #1 happens).

#3- You respond calmly: I respond that I do not wish to discuss the subject, and wish you a good day.
3a- You drop it. See #1
3b- You don't. See #2b, and repeat until #1 occurs.

At the end of the day, all I will be doing is trying to get you to drop the subject. So, save us both time and find someone else to debate your opinions with. ESPECIALLY if you are of a mind to change opinions, as that is not going to happen. Ever. I used to be pro-choice and became pro life. Not only do I know your position, but I have argued it, and in the end, I still came around to being pro-life. You have nothing to say that I haven't heard, and nothing that will change my stance on this issue. Have a good day!

Only making pregnancy and the care of a child a punishment is kind of an over punishment for having unprotected sex. You play with fire, you get burned, but you can always put out the fire. Not to mention the fact that a child finding out that they were an "accident" or a "punishment" practically destroys their self-esteem and often wouldn't be raised right considering being with the child would be a chore for the parents. The child shouldn't be getting the blunt end of the stick because of their parents' actions.

Giving birth does not automatically mean becoming a parent.  There's a thing called adoption that takes over where merciful, but unwilling mothers leave off.
And no, it isn't a "punishment", it is a consequence, the two are not synonyms.

I think it'd be better to be aborted as a consciousless fetus than to know that your life was an accident and that you were abandoned at birth. Too many kids are in orphanages, and if you're going to tell someone to give birth just to abandon the baby moments later, I can and will easily say that you are a sick fuck and that I don't want to be associated with you.

I have met _one_ person in the history of this planet who agrees with you, and that is because her birth mother kept her and made her life shit. That is the mother's fault, not the situation's.
My adoptive cousin, for one, would heartily disagree with you. She likes being alive very much, and understands that it was better for her to be put up for adoption than be in a bad situation with her mother who couldn't afford a child.
There's no such thing as an "orphanage" in this country.

How ironic you feel for a woman who has to give up a child for adoption, but nothing for the children who die from women who won't. To me that's way more sick.
Either way, I never cared what you thought of me, or what you think in general, so have a nice day.

A fetus isn't a conscious child. A fetus is a cell. Its brain is not developed enough to be considered conscious. So that argument does not stand. Also, I never said a thing about the mother, I said about the child.

Well this argument is over apparently so buh bye.

No, a fetus is not "a cell", lol, it was never one cell. An egg is a cell, and a sperm is a cell. Guess what happens when you make a baby? Two cells minimum, at the very beginning.

As far as brain development, that depends upon what point. By the time the fetus is properly called a fetus (as opposed to a zygote), it has a consciousness. It is not conscious, as in "awake", it is sleeping due to a combination of chemicals and oxygen levels (like at high elevations)- but it does very much have a consciousness.
So your argument only served to prove, as I suspect of most pro-choicers, that you don't understand enough about what goes on and when to have an informed opinion about abortion.

Bye byes ^_^
